New ATI Drivers [Feb 09, 2005, 11:06 pm ET] – Share – Viewing Comments
The ATI Drivers & Software Page
now features new CATALYST 5.2 reference drivers for Windows XP/2K, Windows 9x,
Windows XP 64 bit edition drivers, and HDTV Wonder drivers. Along with a bunch
of bug fixes, the new releases introduce 3D setting options to the CATALYST™
CONTROL CENTER system tray and add efficiency improvements in vertex processing
for performance improvements in Far Cry and 3DMark05.
Well, artifacts all over is a heating issue...
But just text was...it was a semi-recurring issues with one toggle or option. It was either something to do with AA/AF or...some text/cursor option you could do.
It has been a long time since I have had my ATI card that had those issues. Just try the new drivers; I suspect they will clear it up.
