A fix for Sid Meier's Pirates! can now be found on the
Infogrames FTP server (direct link). There are no details on this posted
along with the file or on any of the game's related websites, but the mirror on
3D Gamers explains
that this is a DVD version replacement addressing SecuROM copy protection
issues.

Delete the dancing. Delete the land battles. Delete your crew leaving. Maybe then. I played the a windows version back in 94 and it was a hoot.
I want a 3D version, open ended sea with day and night cycles, whores and muskets. Be as nasty as you want to be. Pirate Arging is fun.
Morrowind-Pirates build your own little secret pirate alcove. Make your town as you get richer, blacksmith, shipwright, recruiting npc's, etc.
