So what if it's less than 1%? They completely and unflinchingly copped to the fact that they knowingly placed that button in such a location and position that would cause it to eventually fail, or cause problems with button detection.

If someone handed you a new PS2 controller you've paid for and said: "Hey, by the way, the Square button might stop working at any time."....would you take that crap? Well, possibly, because you can always get a third party controller for the PS2. Where the crap are you going to get a third party controller for the PSP?

Actual reports may vary, but current percentage of problematic PSPs is less than 1%. At least that is how Gamespot reported it.

And that's stopped patents for things like, say, the double click?

Okay, so the PSP has a self-admitted INTENTIONAL DESIGN FLAW because the designer is an asshat and they crammed in a button in a space that's too small for it...

And people are still going to buy it? Well, okay, but I'll be laughing at you when that button goes bad and they get around to a re-manufactured version that corrects the problem.

Just like every other Console release, that noone is just selling the PSP. They are bundling them with extra crap like games you don't want extra memory cards etc.

So your looking at 400 bucks to get a PSP on launch day.

I might go ahead and pre-order the PSP. $300 CDN for the PSP plus a bunch of other crap(cleaning cloth, soft carrying case, 32MB Memory Card Duo, Spider-Man 2 UMD movie), I'll probably get one.

A demo disc full of unplayable demos, oh joy. Granted all the add-ins are nice, but not all absolutely necessary. The first million people get a UMD copy of Spider-Man 2, again not necessary.

Now that the price is set at $250 for the unit, $400 for a bundle doesn't seem TOO bad.

All I want is the AC Adapter...but it comes with a memory card so its not all bad. The card is probably what drove it above $200

Well damn, I was hoping we wouldn't have to buy the damn "value pack" for the PSP. I'd really rather not pay an extra 50 bucks for some crap I don't want.
