What you mean some German guy actually got into your American server WOW how did you ever cope with that, I mean thats just awful, you must be really distressed!!!!! FFS get a life.

Umm, maybe you mis-understood. I don't care, as I work with Germans (Swiss-owned company).

However, it has to suck for him. I mean, most of the appeal of MMORPG's is playing with others. That's kind of hard to do when nobody can understand what you're saying/typing.

Now, he'll be able ot log on with people that he can comminucate and have more fun.

I'll admit, im fairly obsessive about getting badges for my character, but damn

all you get is a badge, a useless special effect, and a cape...and unless you're into retro style heros, I think the capes are lame.

I wish some of these companies WOULD have the balls to say, "ok yeah, if you buy our special edition, you get some sort of buff/improvement. doesn't even have to be a big one.

yeah I know everyone would come running and screaming into the message boards crying about how unfair it is....but so what...it would at least make the collector's edition worth considering....maybe. in the end, what's the diff, people complain about PL'ing, people complain about KS'ing when its not an issue in CoH...it never really stops...so why should it be a big deal, you have to pay to play anyway...so paying a little bit more should yield some sort of improvement.

just me ranting I guess.

In basics its the US collectors...

I finally got a DVD-burner with duel layer support and picked up City of Hero collectors DVD. Pretty cool. Game is fun. The special slide I got is neat and the badge is cool saying VIP. Havent gotten a char to 20 yet for the special cape.

Can we have our avatars sit in a cafe in Hamburg and listen to Kraftwerk play Trans Europe Express while dressed all in black, smoking and wearing dark shades?

Yeh, that was kind of annoying but it was never anything major. Maybe a (useless) special-effect or a badge. It would have been nice to be able to earn these things.

The one thing that annoyed me was that the new class was only available for lvl 50's. I've played a bunch of the archetypes to the mid 20's at which point I get tired of that character.

For me to reach lvl 50 without power leveling the cheap way (not hunting, but grouping with like a lvl 40 with my lvl 24) would take forever. I just wish that in a few months they'd let you unlock that new Archetype by doing a really hard Task Force or something.

I left due to the repackaging they did after the game had been released in the U.S. I can understand making a collector's edition before a game is released so everyone can have a shot at things if they like. The problem comes when they give away in game stuff in a new version which you have to buy to obtain; it completely screws over existing customers unless they want to buy another copy of the game.

At least it needed to be obtainable in the game, or given to certain long time customers.

It's a minor thing, but it showed a total lack of respect to existing customers to me.

This package is really saying "We're sorry we haven't been giving you the lovin you deserve Europe. Come back and look at that longer server list: I think you'll like what you see. Awwww ya baby."

Until now, European users have been able to play, but there was no "official" server. There was one that they mostly flocked too, but still.

Hopefully now it will be better for them. I had some guy broadcasting in German once, probably asking if anyone else spoke it.
