I am playing a level 52 Paladin and since level 20 I noticed myself that the paladin class is absolutely overpowered. There is no class I can loose to, unless I screw up completely or getting ganked. Usually even when ganked I can kill 2 of them before they kill me. Even against a few level 60s I survive long enough for some alliance to come by and help me. But since a month or so people seem to understand that they better not attack a paladin. ganking has greatly decreased for me on my paladin, while my other chars get attacked all the time.
Im also seeing this on other paladins. If you havent seen any paladins fight redicilous fights like I mentioned, you cant have that much experience.
Might wanna try the ogres in STV. If you cant do em, youre not playing your class right or have absolutely shitty equipment, sorry. Even you should be able to kill one. Most paladins I saw there did 2 (cant get less most of the time anyway), but with good equipment, all abilities, full mana and spells ready, 3 are doable no problem. But you wont get good exp, since the downtime after such fights is long, and the fight itself even longer. But you can do yellow elite quests cause of it and thats a HUGE plus. 1 on 1 I can kill an elite thats 2 to 3 levels higher than I am (of course not the special boss ones with uber HP and insane damage). Non-elite ones are easy cake. I think the highest one I killed was 5 or 6 levels above me. With my hunter I am lucky if I can kill one thats 4 levels above me or an elite thats 3 levels below me (even though he does insane amounts of damage). but after that I will have at most half health left and no mana. probably dead pet too.
With my paladin even at level 20 with shitty equip I could do 2 level 20 elites at once in shadowfang keep.
I am shaking my head all day long what I can pull off with this class and get to hear "cheater class" and similar from my friends.
I can understand why fanboys dont want their overpowered paladin or shaman get weakened (or other classes buffed up). But its a fact that they need to be balanced (or things around them).
Paladins and Shamans are only 2 examples, though. Almost all classes need more or less tweaking.
btw, the video of the paladin vs. warlock and warrior is somewhere on the net. might wanna take a look at it.
I'm not... gonna... cry... you... dumb... doo-doo brain!
I have given up on waiting for BIS to come back to their senses and do a real ArmA 2 successor.
