Out of the Blue

Gunnar, our intrepid poodle puppy, is now 10 weeks old, the same age as Hudson the wonder dog was when she came to live with us. Now Hudson is a bit over 50 lbs, which is 5-10 lbs more than a typical female Airedale, but hopefully she's not too used to being the big dog in the house, as it is apparent that the breeder was correct, and that Gunnar is going to be especially large. He was 10 lbs when he arrived at 7½ weeks, which is what Huddy weighed at 10 weeks, and at 10 weeks we find him tipping the scales just shy of 17 lbs! So at the same age as Hudson was, he weighs 70% more than she did, which also represents a 70% weight gain for him over the course of three weeks... You can't grow that fast without fuel, and at this point he eats as much on a daily basis as she does! Coming soon to a theater near you... The Poodle That Ate Westchester!

That is really annoying I have to admit. It's about $12 to get into the theater here, probably $5-10 for snacks ($5 for a small anything most likely) and then I have to sit through 10 minutes of commercials. Grrr...
