My ipod was free (thank you freeipods.com). It isn't amazing, but good enough. I've had it about 2 weeks, haven't gotten much use out of it, but it's decent.

That's quite a vague statement. I have an iPod and a Windows PC. What does that make me ignorant of? Well I guess I don't know everything in the universe so therefore I'm ignorant of something. Oh, I get it, I'm ignorant of the meaning of your post
I also have a iMac (what I'm typing on right now), but I guess that's irrelevant since it wasn't part of the original equation.

Exactly. I chose the iPod over all the rest because the interface is very well thought out. I don't even have to look at it while I'm driving to use it, and I use it all the time in my car with the iTrip fm transmitter.

If you buy an Apple keyboard, it has 2 USB ports in it. Or you can BTO your Mac mini with a bluetooth module and use a wireless keyboard & mouse (Apple sells their own version, but any bluetooth keyboard & mouse will work).
If you buy an Apple LCD display, they all have 2 USB ports on them (as well as 2 Firewire ports).
Otherwise, yeah, buy a hub.

The only downside to that Mac Mini (besides it being a Mac), is that it only has 2 USB ports. The keyboard and mouse are supposed to take up those, so if you want to insert a USB storage device or some other USB device, you are kinda out of luck. Unless there is some keyboard/mouse combo that uses one USB port that I don't know about.. which is possible.

I'm so glad the entertainment industry is so set on protecting consumers like me with DRM software. I can't wait for the protection that hardware DRM will provide!
Also, in non-ironic news, I wish I had the extra money to get an IPod Shuffle. And a Mac Mini. It's like... the size of an external hard drive, and runs silently. ATTN: People who run hardware sites: Give these away! I'll let you have my email address and spam me into inifity, just do it!

From all of the press their new flash players are getting and the lines out the door to shell out for one, you'd think that they're the only ones making digital music players. Flash-based ones have been cheap and available for years.

This is the 3rd day of "critical" patches. I wonder if we're just seeing 3 days worth of news trickle, or is this a triple-whammy of critical windows flaws.
