The Ministry of Action Website
offers an updated version of Action Half-Life, a mod that enjoyed a good deal of
popularity in its heyday. The mod has been updated by some loyal fans looking to
continue the project, which ceased development when the team embarked upon the
Action Unreal Tournament project. The new version includes a new map as well as
all sorts of tweaks and bug fixes.
AHL is a good mod, I'd still rather play it than alot of the garbage that passes for multiplayer gaming these days. Sad that anymore it's not really worth dealing with the tangled mess that is Steam in order to play it.
AHL never struck me as fun. I was an avid AQ2 player, but CS beat AHL to release (or followed it very closely.) Sucked me over right away and made AHL feel sloppy.
AQ2 will always be one of my favorites, the first major mod to suck me in. The first mod I loved, though, was Doog Quake!
Ah, good ol' AHL. I remember I used to play AHL Roleplay, where everyone would play a character instead of just killing each other. You would use knives as "money". I even made a map specifically for that purpose, ahl_genesis_beta. Good times.
