it was horrible, people warping around more than an episode of StarTrek, the levels looked gorgeous. They over did the "light glints from guns" a bit though, made it impossible to snipe whilst theres a light-house like beam eminating from all the guns bah...

Just last night my friend and I decided to see how FarCry Co-Op is these days. Trouble is, it's been so longs since either of us has fired the game up in multiplayer, that we'd entirely forgotten about all that "log in to UBI.COM" bullshit, and consequently neither one of us could remember the exact details of our usernames or passwords..

Eventually the game decided that we were clearly l337 h4Xx0rating into our precious UBI.com privilege-of-multiplayer-allowing accounts and locked us both out for "exceeding our maximum allowed log-in attempts" or some such bullshit. We try again fifteen-minutes later, and it just tells both of us the same thing.

FUCKING GODDAMN UBI!! I bellow, and that's the last I'll be seeing of that game.

My friend, meanwhile, decides to create a new account.. works ok, until he's asked to enter his CD key, at which point the l337 h4Xx0rator-detectors at UBI.com go off, and they inform him that his CD key has now been locked due to multiple access violation (or some such bullshit)..

Very nice.. and people say this game's multiplayer is dead?

Almost a year after it was released.... Better late than never I guess but it does give me a reason to start playing again and with the JP mod coming soon it looks like I am going to be busy for some time.

Thanks for the tip Ant. I played through quite a few HL1 (and even some UT) single-player mods; with Far Cry's awesome visuals and such, I'm looking forward to exploring SP there too.

As far as MP, HL2DM has me hooked, and I tend to play what I can host

This game needs a lot of single player mods too.

Even if it did come out 6 months ago, who cares? Multiplayer played like shit 6 months ago. I just couldn't be bothered to even try the deathmatch again. CounterStrike Source is gonna be good enough for me for a long time.
