http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=42112 The problem with "eye witness" accounts, is that eyewitnesses tend to see things they want to see, or try and explain the catastrophie in their head and unknowingly make things up.
ie:
FBI Agent: "Did you see any other aircraft in the air?"
Witness: "Yes I did."
FBI Agent: "What did it look like?"
Witness: "An f-16"
Yet they wouldn't know an F16 if it bit em in the ass. The person intervieiwing may even have put the image in their mind before it was clearly found out if there was an aircraft in the air or not. I have not seen any records come out that any aircraft were in the area. I don't think this is something that wouldn't come out.
/edit: If they interviewed 100 people, and 30 said there was another plane. I wouldn't believe it. I would need 70-80 to definatley say there was a plane.
