Evil Genius Sequel & More

This Elixir Press Release (thanks HomeLAN Fed) announces additional funding for the U.K.-based developer, while also revealing plans for a new original game and an Evil Genius sequel:
Following the successful release of Evil Genius with Vivendi Universal Games in October, Elixir Studios is currently in full production of its next major title, under contract with a market-leading US publisher. Conceived and signed 18 months ago, the as yet unannounced original game is scheduled for release in 2006. Elixir's other teams are currently working on plans for an Evil Genius sequel as well as a prototype for a next generation console IP.

Yep. I've never really liked RTS' at all but EG had me hooked. I loved that game. The campy humour and music was the best. I look forward tothe sequel. The new game looks really good too!

I'll be in the minority here, but Evil Genius was hilarious! Unfortunately, the first isle was too boring for most people and didn't get past the boredom there to find the gem inside.

This is the first game recently where I've ever played more than once through. I'm in the process of solving it for the fourth complete time now. The only other game in recent years was Knights of the Old Republic -- and that was only to compare the light and dark paths.

Anyways, I'm really excited. There is a lot of potential. This game was a blast, and I've enjoyed doing a lot of the mods that the people over at http://www.evilplanet.com/ have been coming up with. KEeps it quite interesting.

They better make it possible to delete corridors after they have been placed. Oh yeah, and the game concept has a lot more potential than what they managed to squeeze out of the first one, so I'm hoping they'll make a better game this time (the first one was just decent)

Evil Genius was a fun game for the first few hours. Quickly became boring, however. If they had more rooms and traps, it'd be fun.
