PC House of the Dead III

Sega announces plans for a PC edition of House of the Dead III, their console rail shooter. Here's the announcement that discusses the European release of the PC port, slated for a February 2005 release:
LONDON, UK – December 3rd, 2004 - SEGA Europe Ltd, today announced the forthcoming PC version of the third part in the House Of The Dead™ trilogy. This highly anticipated third chapter in the hit light gun series will be released in early February 2005.

Developed and published by SEGA, this PC version incorporates all the excitement of the hit arcade original. In the third part of the zombie blasting series, PC gamers can expect an exciting new adventure plus an all-new shotgun weapon! Players will be able to mow down multiple enemies in a single blast as they plough their way through the most exhilarating House of the Dead yet.

"We are delighted to be bringing the third part of the hugely successful House Of The Dead™ trilogy to PC owners everywhere, " said Mike Hayes, Managing Director of SEGA Europe Ltd. "The House Of The Dead™ III offers fans a first class slice of arcade action. PC gamers will have their reactions tested to the limit with more monsters, action and mayhem than ever before"

The storyline finds Thomas Rogan - the hero from the first game, missing and his daughter, Lisa Rogan, mounting a daring mission to find him. She must team up with his former partner to survive the horrors holding her father captive, and escape in one piece!

From elaborate underground labs to devastated cityscapes, players must wage war on wave after wave of horrific zombies complete with beautifully rendered guts and gore.

PC owners will particularly enjoy the new time-sensitive one or two-player gameplay along with a vast web of branching storylines.

Depending on how fast your trigger finger is, players advance the storyline by uncovering new secrets and hidden areas along the way. Time is now a factor – Dead-eye aim won't mean much unless gamers have the quick trigger-finger to back it up!

Surely 'only typing game ever'?

Who needs anything else when you have Typing of the Dead?

It would be Typing of the Dead II, since TotD 1 was based on HotD 2. But yes, best typing game ever. I hope they make another typing version even when the HotD game bombs.

The engrish in part 2 was hilariously bad. The voice "acting" was even worse. One of the voices (I think of the main bad dude) sounded like one of the voices from the ending scene in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure (the voice Pee-Wee had when he was in that fake bond movie).

Can't say I'm looking for HotD3, but if it has horrible engrish I'll give it a try just for laughs. Since this was done on xbox hardware it could look decent.

House of the Dead 3... WHO is waiting for HotD 3!?!?
HotD is a shame to all games, especially the PC games.. that's my opinion.

Sick shit.. fuck off with this HotD crap.. what sick dev/publisher puts his money in that rubbish?

Oh wait... the mindless console players are stupid enough to blindly buy the game (just focus on the cover and they'll buy it).

So how would you play that on a PC? Point and click with a mouse like an FPS, just without the movement controls?
