Half-Life 2 Gordon Model

A Gordon Freeman model for Half-Life 2 is now available, providing another element in the community's efforts at creating Half-Life 2 multiplayer support. The model may be freely used, with proper credit, in any modification, and though it contains a number of animations, few of them are used on current implementations of HL2 deathmatch. Also: "The HEVSUIT is from HL2 retail. This is why the back is not finished, since you were never intended to see it." The download is available on Half-Life 2 Files.

You have a bit of an anger issue there Count? I was offering a suggestion of what it could be (well now we know it is Deathmatch).

And don't assume stuff that I play Evercrack

P.S. If you don't like it then you don't have to play it, it's really that simple.

There's going to be a special treat near launch or soon after for those who are upset that Counter-Strike Source is the only multiplayer offered out of the box. I'd hate to ruin the surprise but let's just say traditionalists will be happy even if it's just one map at first. Physics Cannon!

The uplink CD had only 1 level, not multiple. I still have my uplink cd, its what sold me Half-Life, running to walmart at 3am and paying $54.99 a year after release.

Depends on how you define a level by HL standards...

Uplink maybe featured only one level (depending on who you ask) but the demo most certainly consisted of several maps.

Is the SDK still just slotted for sometime "this week" or is there a fixed date for it now?

I've been saying HL2DM will come out since CS:S was announced as the only one.

I still think it's probably early, though, haha. I have no doubt we'll get some great multiplayer stuff from Valve, but wouldn't be shocked if this is a new CT model, haha.

Gordon with a model, no way

This destroys Valves long term plan, Gordon doesn't exist and he discovers this in Half-life 5. That’s when you wake up back on the train into Black Mesa and it was all just a dream ....... or was it

OOooooWEEEOooOOoOOWeeeOOOoOOO

I no longer don't expect anything more from the script writers at Valve.

After Buddha was dead, his shadow was still shown for centuries in a cave — a tremendous, gruesome shadow. God is dead; but given the way of men, there may still be caves for thousands of years in which his shadow will be shown.

The demo was called HL: Uplink , Day one was the press demo, released before the main game.

I think the suprise is HL2 DM of some kind. that guy who first said it was gold (when it was true) said they'd do it, mentioning the grav gun and that we'd be pleased even if it was just one map.

I wonder if the surprise will be a demo of HL2. Remember how Valve did the HL1 demo? It was different from the game; I believe it was called Day One. Regardless, I hope it's new HL2 content... or Team Fortress 2.

No, the surprise won't be a HL2 demo for sure. New "special" ATI levels or HL2DM is currently the best guess.

The "Day One" demo was just the first few levels from HL1 released as a free demo. The demo you are referring to was called "Uplink" and offered a few new levels from HL1 which didn't made into the final version.
Nice demo BTW!

It's not official, it was made by a member of the HL2 community.

Anyone know if the All Seeing Eye will patch in HL2 support?

Most ingame browsers are crap.. I don't see why HL2's will be any better than ASE.
