Mirsky and Warhawk, I'm just curious about the troubles you guys are having with getting "free" time from your spouse to play HL2.
Is it a problem for you to stay up past the time your spouse goes to bed to play HL2? For example, for awhile I had an arrangement so that I wouldn't play any games while my spouse was awake in the evening and would focus my attention on her. Then, when she went to bed, I would get an hour or two to play Counterstrike, Halo, etc.
Another thing I did, was to get my spouse excited about HalfLife herself. I had her play through the first game, and to get over any objections that it was wasting time or that she wasn't interested, I offered to do any housework that needed to be done while she played.
Of course, we don't have kids so this frees up quite a bit more time to do stuff, but since "interactive" entertainment is important to me, it provided an impetus for her to at least take a look into it. Now I always look for cooperative games for us to go through together. Halo worked out great, since having a coop player in that really makes it a lot easier, so she felt that she was needed by me to get through it.
Anyway, I was curious about what arrangements aren't working out for you guys. Maybe the rest of us can help you brainstorm new arrangements
