Thanks for the link Dantastic, I found this to be a real eye opener. What your taught in history only scratches the surface of what actually went on. The way I read it, Kennedy could not be accused of training Gurillas (a euphanism for terrorists one might argue) as the plan had been changed to a D-Day style invasion when he took office. Furthermore he only called off a second stage of an airstrike which would have made only minimal difference in the operation. So Kennedy cannot really be blamed for it's failure, he would have needed allowed a full strike by US Special Forces to back the dissidents). This whole thing falls into the lap of the Agency first and foremost and secondly to the Eisenhower administration.

Tasteless or not, the free demo at least lets you observe the sightlines of this terrible day in history. If it causes someone to want to maybe pick up a book and read some real history - while taking a break from GTA or America's Army - then maybe it will not be a total loss.

Sounds like you watched that abysmal Oliver Stone movie. Well I should say it was "artistic" from a cinematic standpoint but the evidence was contrived or outright disregarded.

There are few real secrets in this country that are not eventually discovered by journalists hoping for a Pulizter prize. Whether JFK or UFO's if the truth was "out there" we would have seen something more concrete by now and not some obscure film anomoly, sound echos or "eyewitness" testimony from confused, scared or otherwise unreliable witnesses seeking their 15 minutes of fame and truth be damned.

Folks, conspiracy is big business in this country and there are large profits to be made in peddling them to the masses. This is not to say there are no conspiracies, quite the contrary. Eisenhower's famous speech warning about the military/industrial complex should have sent up a red flag (pardon the expression) to all Americans but it fell on deaf ears. Better to keep people preoccupied with the fantasies than have them prying into real black ops.
