The weather is not being quite as uncooperative as we'd expected so far, and it
looks like we are going to be able to get in some outdoor activities to tire out
the little smurfs. We actually got a little of dusting of snow overnight, but
after worrying we were not going to be able to get out and play, I won't get too
disappointed that there isn't enough snow to make a snowman... that'll come soon
enough.

I ended up staying home sick that day and worked in Orange County, CA (near LA) at the time. Saw it all live from the helicopter feed broadcast by a local news channel - thought it was a movie at first, then realized it was live. It was wild, especially knowing it was a live feed....

I was less familiar with his music than his run-ins with the law. I was also under the impression he'd cleaned up a bit recently, though I could be wrong...
I found it ironic he died two days before his 36th birthday. Anytime someone dies that young, it's sad...

In your Doom folder there is a file called "doomkey" Open it with notpad or wordpad. That is your serial #. Problem is, Doom 3 has an additional 2 digits at the end but they aren't displayed in that file for me. I'll see if they are located anywhere else. Registry came up empty when I searched for the serial.

Is there a way to grab the Doom 3 key from the files located on my computer? I can no longer find my Doom 3 box, I can only speculate that it got lost in the move, and I obviously do not want to purchase a second copy of it. Unfortunately, the box had both the case with the key and my receipt.
I do currently have the game installed and can play it, but I am out of luck if I ever want to uninstall the game, I format my drive, etc.
I could care less about playing the game online; I only played the non-single-player campaign and, possibly in the futue, the expansion packs.
Wondering if anybody can help,

Either the Steam forums are being DoS'ed or they just collapsed under the weight of thousands of fanboys refreshing the thread about the Steam status bar dipping (suggesting content servers being taken offline, possibly for an update).
