Its not a 'preview of a preview' its a preview of an article. The article has nothing to do with the contents of the game, but the development process behind it. Their previous "final hours of" arcticles have been excellent.
Oh and they arent unlocking until 16th because of the contract between Valve and VU. There have been 0 legitimate sales so far. Retailers have been told not to release it before the 16th, if they break the date, its not legit.

I was thinking the same thing. Heck, I've actually re-read the first one more than a few times!

My point is- If the game is all set to go WHY NOT UNLOCK IT NOW???
My guess is it has to do with the what's going on with VU.
The game isn't ready to be sold in BOXES in high quantity yet. Most store probably don't have it, and maybe there aren't even enough CD's printed yet.
Meanwhile, they had agreements with VU about releasing the STEAM version at the same time it's on the shel as to not cut into their sales TOO much in the beginning.
Add to that, the current legal problems that VU has with Steam. They're apparently really pissed because STEAM sales are higher than they assumed or were told.

Okay yeah there are legit pictures on the web of people who have got the Real Retail- Half-Life 2 game at home as we speak. But the game is unplayable for them like us steam users who need the game to be unlocked. My point is- If the game is all set to go WHY NOT UNLOCK IT NOW??? Why do we have to wait to the 16th of November- the game is done and all set to go... Whats the purpose of having to wait to a certain date.. Some retail stores in the us have already sold it- SO i think its about fucking time Valve gives us the Key. Since all the fucked us lies and deceat its the least they can do.. Do u agree?
