The AI in NFS:U pissed me off so badly I tore my joystick in two peaces so i'm going to pass on U2. I used to be a big fan of the NFS games up to NFS6 or whatever that abortion of a game was. Grab FLATOUT if you want really good acrade action and forget the lame NFS AI cheating garbage.

Quite cool for a quick blast, but im wanting a more realistic racer, something that handles like a car. Im waiting for GTR, and after experiencing the demo, it will be the shit. Not to say NFS:U2 wont be a bad game, in its own right. But as mentioned previously, not a good time to be releasing a game.

Why couldn't they release HL2 one week after it went gold? We'd all be playing it now!

I've been playing NFS games since the very first one. I always enjoy the hell out of them. Looking forward to it. Now make another one like Porsche Unleashed and I'll be real happy.

I'm not willing to pay the $$$ on this, but it'll definitely be on my Christmas list. A lot of the features you guys are complaining about buged me as well, but when I'm sitting here bored and just want a little bit of excitement, I still start that game up simply because it does have an enjoyment factor for a small amount of time. You don't see me playing it for 5 hours straight thats for sure.

NFSU was the worst singleplayer racing game ever conceived. Anything they possibly could have done wrong, they did.

Also, I got tired of the same tracks over and over.
Same here. Why can't they just include the entire track selection from the previous versions plus some new ones? I played the first two almost every day for a few years but now I won’t touch any NFS games unless they include good tracks & good physics. I know most people would disagree but I prefer the segmented races they had in the first nfs. I like doing laps but not with these new tracks, it's like they only have 4 or 5 tracks.
I imagine when they say 5 neighborhoods it means the game will have 5 tracks but they will interconnect them to give the illusion of having more tracks....Well that does not work.
When EA makes a game they dig into their game knowledge base & use previous games as bleu prints. So don't expect things to change soon even with new staff, they all use the same base to create their games depending on the genre.
Put all the old maps or don't release it at all. My force feedback steering wheel is gathering dust now. Maybe that FIA game might give a reason not to sell my wheel.
IF not, I guess I’ll have to learn to love Rally games.

The catch up feature didn't bother me so much. But when I repeatedly witness a computer car obeying a different law of physics, it really spoils the enjoyment for me.
So, in short- Fuck NFSFU:2.

It really bugged me that the computer cars would cheat so blatantly.
So many times I'd have some computer car go ripping around a tight corner going 40 MPH faster than me, yet taking the corner better, even when I was driving an identical or even a faster, better handling car.
I quit playing when I realized it didn't matter what car you had, because on some games what is called "catch-up" is an option, it appears to always be on for this game. When you get almost a lap ahead, the blip seems to jump around corners. Also, I got tired of the same tracks over and over.

Won't sell many pc titles that day! MUHAHAHHAHAHAAAAA.... That's for sure!
As far as the game itself goes, the biggest thing I wish they would change is how you have to wait to unlock what you can or can't buy. I'm playing the NFSU 1 right now and have something like $80k in the bank but can't buy the performance parts I want. There's no incentive to play the harder modes to win more money.
I say let the player earn just enough to where they have to choose whether to upgrade the handling, engine, looks, etc. while the computer AI cars have to do the same. It would be fun to race against cars that have spent their money on speed while you may have chosen to upgrade your handling.

NFSU was the best NFS since Porsche Unleashed. Hopefully they won't drop the ball on this one.
All I want are more, even cheesier car mods. (And not just a billion more decals...)
