Morning Q&As

  • The Matrix Online
Warner Bros. Aiming to Expand MMO Market with The Matrix Online on GameDAILY BIZ (thanks Frans) is an article-format Q&A with WSIE's Jason Hall about the upcoming Matrix MMORPG: "If something happens in The Matrix Online, if there were another Matrix movie, that movie would take into consideration what happened in the game."
  • Painkiller: Battle Out of Hell
The Painkiller: Battle Out of Hell Q&A on Worthplaying is actually a recap of a recent IRC session with the folks at People Can Fly and DreamCatcher about the upcoming shooter expansion.
  • Tin Soldiers: Alexander the Great
Legendary Warrior Gets Miniaturized in "Tin Soldiers: Alexander the Great" is a Q&A with Kevin Albright and Russ Pearlman of Koios Works about their miniatures-based war game: "In most turn-based games, players alternate moving their units or pieces – either by moving one piece at a time (like Chess) or all of their pieces at a time (like Civilization or Risk). Our system allows players to complete their planning at the same time and then executing the moves in real time. This has the advantage of allowing the player to take their time in thinking and planning their move, but it allows for the excitement and unpredictability of real-time strategy games. However, unlike most RTS games where the player who is able to click the fastest wins, Tin Soldiers: Alexander the Great rewards the best tactician."
  • Turbine
Saluting the Old Guard - A 5 Year Retrospective of Turbine Entertainment on Warcry features a giant Q&A with all the developers from the MMO developer, discussing their history: "With the last five years as any guide, the only safe prediction is AC is going to change, it will grow, and it's going to be one heck of a ride!"
  • Eden Eclipse
The Adrenaline Vault's Eden Eclipse Q&A talks with Josh Catone, PR manager for Renegade Gods about Eden Eclipse, and plans to create a stand-alone game from this Unreal Tournament modification: "We quickly changed our plan from creating the full game to building a smaller, polished demo for public consumption, which is how the Eden Eclipse mod should be viewed."

Yeah, it looks pretty good. I won't have time to play it any time soon, but I'm hoping it'll turn out well.
