Nexus N.A. Delay

The official Nexus: The Jupiter Incident Website (thanks Frans) has word of a delay to the North American release of this space combat game:
On Friday 5th November Nexus - The Jupiter Incident will be released worldwide, except for North America.

Due to the holiday season and a lot of games coming out in North America we have chosen to change the release date in the US and Canada to February 2005.

Still here. I just can't post from work anymore. Plus Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars kept me real buisy. AAA+ movie.

I'm pretty sure this delay is because of HL2. You can order from Gogamer

If we live in North America can't we just order this from the UK somewhere? If anyone knows please post a link to where I can still buy this. Where's chip at, he's usually posting like crazy in all the Nexus threads.

It's certainly a very lucrative time to sell very high-profile games. I suspect that many games with lesser marketing budgets get a bit lost and ignored at that time of year, however.

Why delay it after the holiday season? Isn't that a very lucrative time to sell games?

I'm actually interested in this game, and I live in North America, but still... good for them. I might actually have time to look at this game in February, whereas there's no chance I'd be getting it if it came out in two weeks, and I'd probably have forgotten about it by the time I'm tired of HL2, World of Warcraft, Halo 2, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Guild Wars, Evil Genius, Vampire: TM-B, Katamari Damacy, Pikmin 2, Burnout 3 and Jade Empires.

oh, who am I kidding? I'm never playing this game.

<sigh>
