Half-Life 2 Submitted for Certification

Computer And Video Games has a story up based on one of their sometimes accurate anonymous sources saying that Half-Life 2 has been submitted to the Pan European Games Information age rating system and subsequently the British Board of Film Classification for certification, this rumor lending further support to other rumors (story) that the shooter sequel's gold announcement is imminent. According to their "industry insider" Vivendi considers the game done, and that a November release is "extremely likely."

blowski you fuckin retard, karma is the action of cause and effect, not some magical morality retribution

do a little research into the topic before you shoot your mouth off like a dumbass

"Karma first came into being as a concept in Hinduism, largely based on the Vedas and Upanishads. One of the first and most dramatic illustrations of Karma can be found in the great Hindu epic, the Mahabharata. The original Hindu concept of karma was later enhanced by several other movements within the religion, most notably Vedanta, Yoga, and Tantra.

Hinduism sees karma as immutable law with involuntary and voluntary acts being part of a more intricate system of cause and effect that is often not comprehensible to one bound by karma. It is the goal of the Hindu, as expressed succinctly in the Bhagavad Gita, to embrace a 'sattvic' lifestyle and thus avoid creating more karma (karma is not qualified as good or bad). By ceasing to create more karma, the jiva-atma or individual soul is able to move closer to moksha, or liberation.

To the Hindu, karma is the law of the phenomenal cosmos that is part and parcel of living within the dimensions of time and space. All actions, thoughts, vibrations of any sort, are governed by a law that demands perfect rebound. So all jiva-atmas (individual souls) must experience karma if they live and experience the phenomenal universe. To escape the cycle of life, death and rebirth, one must exhaust one's karma and realize one's true Self as the highest truth of Oneness that is Brahman (or for dvaitists(dualists) bliss with the Supreme Godhead)"

Instead of refuting what I say, go look for yourself. The USA attacked Najaf. About halfway time wise thru the attack, the hurricanes started. The USA kept attacking so another one came. 4 hurricanes. No one seen anything like it in 50 or a hundred years, I forget. You think that is an accident?

Perhaps you should look into what you're saying yourself. Try to look beyond that 'center of the universe' attitude and look at it in a more global context. The US wasn't the only place hit by these hurricanes. Many people in Haiti, the Dominican Republic and other locations died as a result of these storms and they had nothing to do with the US elections. In fact, unless I'm mistaken, the vast majority of those that died as a result of this year's hurricane season were NOT americans. Jeanne reportedly killed over 1500 people in Haiti alone. Could there really be that may Bush supporters there?

How does that fit in with your 'Karma' explanation?

Gotta love those PEGI icons, have they ever used the "discrimination" one?

The USA attacked Najaf.

If the US military truly attacked Najaf, there wouldn't be a city left. Now, with that in mind, a more accurate statement would be, "a small expeditionary force was sent in to Najaf due to the pressing need to kill the terrorists there."

As for your karma theory, um... no. Go learn some statistical analysis. Florida has been overdue in terms of hurricanes for a long time now. The Carribean islands got more storms than Florida did, but they didn't have troops in Najaf. There was a large storm in China, and it caused mudslides, killing a few hundred people, but China didn't have troops in Najaf.

I used to think Blue's News posters were smarter than Shack News posters. Lately, I'm not so sure.

I have the HL for DC. Of course how I obtained it is another story. Can easily see why it was never released in the state it was "released". Framerate is horrible. I don't know if DC was powerful enough to handle it how they wanted it. Other than pretty bad framerate, it's the game. Anyone want it? I'll burn you a copy with reason. Cheers!

I go to class and come back, check up on the thread and see that it's gone in directions I never dreamed of. I guess I really should have expected some kind of reference to 9/11, the Florida hurricanes and the Iraqi war in a Half-Life 2 status update thread, though...
