sixis, i take objection to the western, theosophical bred misunderstandings of karma as some kind of "good luck, bad luck" principal - which is not debated in its eastern roots, be it in hinduism, jainism, buddhism, or in the pali canon... it is a misconstrued explanation made famous by the spiritualist movement in the early 20th century
its not that the origins of the theory of karma are more intelligent, its just that the common perception of the "good luck, bad luck" principal is WRONG
karma is literally the force of REACTION - meaning if you throw a ball into the air, its karma will cause it to return to the earth... if you express anger, its karma will cause more situations for anger to manifest once again - there is no kind of arbitrary morality, no designation of "good" or "evil" - simply REACTION... it has nothing to do with good or evil - thats the point
