Half-Life 2 Submitted for Certification

Computer And Video Games has a story up based on one of their sometimes accurate anonymous sources saying that Half-Life 2 has been submitted to the Pan European Games Information age rating system and subsequently the British Board of Film Classification for certification, this rumor lending further support to other rumors (story) that the shooter sequel's gold announcement is imminent. According to their "industry insider" Vivendi considers the game done, and that a November release is "extremely likely."

sixis, i take objection to the western, theosophical bred misunderstandings of karma as some kind of "good luck, bad luck" principal - which is not debated in its eastern roots, be it in hinduism, jainism, buddhism, or in the pali canon... it is a misconstrued explanation made famous by the spiritualist movement in the early 20th century

its not that the origins of the theory of karma are more intelligent, its just that the common perception of the "good luck, bad luck" principal is WRONG

karma is literally the force of REACTION - meaning if you throw a ball into the air, its karma will cause it to return to the earth... if you express anger, its karma will cause more situations for anger to manifest once again - there is no kind of arbitrary morality, no designation of "good" or "evil" - simply REACTION... it has nothing to do with good or evil - thats the point

It was also discovered that the head of 3DRealms is none other than Derek Smart who was discovered after being traced back to the source of all news leaks concerning HL2. This discovery has imposed an improbable paradox upon our reality since arguments for games existing that should be good are in the same realm of games that do not exist and are known to be better. When these three forces do meet, all knowledge is befudled, and hindered useless.

Eventually we'll run out of arabs and there won't be any more terrorism.

Well, there's always Timothy McVeigh, the Unibomber.....

I've come to the conclusion that anyone whose ancestry comes from a location that lies within 500 miles of the Tropic of Cancer should be despised.

The USA should have nuked Iraq & Afghanistan on Sept. 10th, 2001.

The next time some Lebanese or Iranian or whatever country commits terrorism, nuke every city in the country. Eventually we'll run out of arabs and there won't be any more terrorism.

space captain, if you know enough to quote like that from your head as opposed to cut-and-paste, you would also know that the concept of Karma has been debated in India and Southeast Asia for over 2000 years, and both the "moralistic" and "legalistic" traditions have been alive for that entire time. It is perfectly acceptable for someone to think of Karma as a moral quid pro quo, millions of Hindus and Buddhists have though, and still think, of it this way.

Educated and monastic people have tended to look down upon the moralistic interpretation of karma, but saying that it is magical morality retribution is EXACTLY (really, creepily) the same as telling Catholics that there isn't some silly magic force at work during Mass or that saint's relics don't turn into pieces of God. Whether or not that is insane is a completely different matter from whether it is a decent explanation of what they believe.

I just don't want people to get the idea that Buddhists or Hindus are more intelligent, in general, in their theology as others.
