Never would've expected to see a demo for this before it came out, except maybe for consoles. Pleasant surprise - hopefully it's good.

Played it. Looks stunning and the anims are top notch. Moves are very quick. 3rd person view though, so goodbye.

but i dont like the demo at all. i had to reload like 20 times following its stupid in game tutorial. i finally gave up when i had to reload about 5 times at the beginning of the level after the boat (dungeon or something).

it even makes you guess that you're supposed to do rolls to avoid the floor spikes, and then make a leap of faith before you are even given the jumping tutorial. it'd be fine if it didnt reload so far back; im not wasting my time now playing it all over again from the beginning. and i'm not retarded. i finished the first game!

one other thing, that slow motion gets annoying, especially since the moves arent even half as cool as the moves in ninja gaiden. i hope they dont do it 100 times a minute in the final game.

i don't understand why people don't like 3rd person in principle. id understand if you were complaining about the camera problem (for some reason they didnt get the camera rotation with the mouse quite right), but fighting multiple people at once and all those acrobatics are just impossible with first person

I was looking for the HL2 gone gold today story, is this it?

WOW! Ok I just got done with the demo after about 10 minutes worth(not much in demo). Unless I was missing something as of yet, it's only a quick tutorial fight thingy on a ship. Basically you fight an endless supply of baddies on a boat using single or dual weapons. For this portion alone, it was amazing. The moves you can do are SICK! If your surrounded by like 4 guards, you can do some fancy smancy moves to kill all of them in 1 shot. It's pretty crazy everything you can do. Try bouncing off walls and you can drill righ through your enemies torso splittingn him in half. The added gore makes everything that much more great. Decapitating heads,cutting bodies in two, it's great. Someone let me know if theres more to this than just that boat. It's quite a hefty download size(for you 56kers) for just a fight on a boat. The graphics and everything are great though. It'll be worth it for the full. Cheers!

wow, sounds they made it way darker than the last game. waiting for someone to come in here and say they ruined it by doing so, but it's fine with me. last one kind of felt like i was playing Disney's Aladin game

Actually the demo is a bit longer than that. When to get to the end of the ship section you fight a boss (some woman with 2 swords) and then you start another level, which like the earlier poster said, you have to have a bit of guess work. To start with i tried walking over the spikes like in the first game but quickly realised you have to roll over them. Then at the end, well i assume the end, you fight this massive boss (bout 5x bigger than you). You have to keep on your toes and get round the back of him and hack at his ankles till he go;s down on his knees. Then you use the space bar to run up his back and start pounding at his helmutted head.

How do you get to the end of the ship section? I believe your suppose to keep heading left from where you start. I do that and get about 3 cinematics of destruction or whatever, and then nothing. Just nonstop guys that keep making me auto target which makes it harder to look around. Do I have to destroy some objects to get further to the left?

There's a stairway leading up directly to the left of your starting position, around the burning wreckage, etc.
