You need to read your mission objectives, and you need to hear the dialog to know what's going on. If it's in another language, this creates a problem.

They all have good points. Gamecube has excellent Nintendo games, and some high-quality third-party titles. Xbox is the multiplayer console of choice, better versions of PS2 games, and good for a few single-player romps (Ninja Gaiden!) PS2 is excellent for a mix of big-name titles and more niche games (what other console lets you run the gameplay gamut from GT4 to Disgaea to FF12?)

It's in your interest as a gamer to buy and enjoy all three.

Bummer that Halo 2 got leaked, but I hardly think it's going to affect sales. You can't play Xbox live with a modded xbox (and yes, this leak does require a modded xbox to play) so what's the point of stealing it? The great invoation between this and Halo 1 is xbox live support, the graphics/hardware haven't changed, and it's still just a FPS (not insinuating that that is a bad thing..) Not to mention the fact that it's in French...

Great post Jow Blow, one of the few posts ever made on this site that were legible and purposely humorous. Bravo!

But that fellow down below who said PC gamer's saw Halo as "unoriginal" because we have been playing that type of game for over a decade is flat out wrong. I'm living proof of it.

I've been playing FPS's since the summer of 93 when I was first introduced to Wolfenstien by my cousin, and played my first of many online deathmatches with the Quake shareware in 96. I'm no stranger to Halo's type of gameplay, yet for some reason it did something for me that nothing, not even Quake3a or UT could do...it became more then a game, it became a weekend ritual amongst me and my friends.

what started as an excuse to get together for some geek-time on the weekend with three of my co-workers soon became a mandatory weekly social gathering. Now we have 14 people, me included, who have been playing Halo 1 on our xbox's (And my kickarse TV) for over two years now. Honestly, it hasn't grown old. Everyone looks forward to it, and nothing, except for halo 2, can replace it.

And for what it's worth, we are all PC Gamers, and yet don't possess the console-racism that you folks here do. Go figure.

I will readily agree that the consoles produce more innovation than the PC by a large margin (and despite PCGamer's "Oh my, Gabe's cock is in my ass, I MUST give it 98%" review of Half Life 2, it doesn't bring any real innovation to the table either, with maybe the exception of the gravity gun), but to say that Nintendo then rules the others is just insane. All they do is pimp some new graphics on the same old crap, just like the PC does.

This might have something to do with the fact that Sony doesn't have in-house developers, and Microsoft limits its involvement with gaming. Nintendo is forced to put out as many first-party games as it can--what else do they have besides?

Actually there was article a while back where they admitted that the leaking of the source code had nothing to do with the delay; it was just an easy and convenient opportunity to pass the blame.

Microsoft has no one to blame but themselves. Foolish mistake, and pretty funny tbo. As far as it being illegal, the vast majority of people who would want this title for their xbox will be under 18, so have fun prosocuting all those teenagers microsoft. It isn't right, but really who cares? Don't make that mistake in the future.

I am boggled by the hostility towards microsoft tbo, I am extremely happy with XP. (Win98/ME or 2000 was a nightmare. XP is much nicer to the average user.) It may not be perfect but you can plug just about anything into it and it works. Has a ton of stuff built in and configures itself most of the time. Course when it doesn't it's no fun to go hunting through your registry to change one hex number...

As far as halo 2 goes, it's still just halo. I'd be shocked if it wasn't just a better scripted story this time around. Once it came out on the PC it was laughable compared to BF9142 and other games.

I agree i think the first Halo was a bit overratted- The worst part was towards the ending of the game that used too much cut and paste levels- I it felt like i was going around in circles- But that game was rushed- Halo 2 hopefully will improve the first- Multiplayer- better graphics and hopefully better single player map design.

Well... its a french leaked version.... french ladies and gentlemen... FRENCH!!!.... I don't know about you but I tend to not play games in varying latin based languages besides english. Heck for people who do download the game of the various networks and so forth... I think quite a few will be dissappointed in the sound department til the English version is released. So... does microsoft have a problem. Heck yeah. Is there a problem for the US release? A bit, but not as bad as it could be. Will young impressionable slackers, crackers, and wannabees download this bad boy? Probably, but i figure quite a few will play for a level or 2 and stop for just being unable to enjoy it with all the French being thrown around and to wait for the US version to be released.

BTW... isn't interesting where the majority of cracked stuff aren't originating in the US these days but from overseas.
