Larry Magna Cum Laude Ships to Retail is the press release announcing the
release of the bawdy collegiate adventure:
Developed by High Voltage Software, Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude is the coming of age story of Larry Lovage, nephew of Larry Laffer, the series’ original lovable loser. The game follows the racy and often randy high jinks of Laffer, a sixth-year-senior enrolled at the local community college, as he attempts to get the attention of a bevy of bodacious on-campus beauties. When a reality TV dating show comes to campus, Larry decides he's going to revitalize his life by winning the contest and proving once and for all that he can live up to the shining example set by his Old Uncle Larry. However, over the course of the game Larry finds, much like his uncle, that the best laid plans don’t always go as intended.

I bought it at EB last Wednesday. They already had PS2 and XBox in the day before.
If your wondering, it seems cute at first, but appears written for the console. So far a lot in game games to keep the action going that are very simple. Myself, and some of my friends got pretty bored a few hours in. Im assuming budget bin in a month. Anyone else played it?

While I haven't played it, I did watch a number of the gameplay movies, and none of them seemed to include any groundbreaking gameplay.
I noticed that the in-game games were essentially the system of gameplay in LSL.
While the game doesn't seem bad, it doesn't seem good.
Definetly a bargain binner.

To the budget bin with it, and certainly not the one at Wal Mart.
It has lost all the witty humor and instead replaced it with raunchy smut probably intended to piss off ESRB.
Gone is the adventuring; the game is played out entirely through minigame after minigame after minigame, none of which are any fun. Junk junk *junk*, but it does make me want to go play the *real* LSL games again...

totally agree.. have read several reviews of this game and they all pretty much say the same thing... dud.
Does it at least have a good rendition of the classic Leisure Suit Larry theme music?
Well said, thats it in a nutshell. Minigame after minigame and no adventuring and the humor is not there is all about being just over the top raunchy.
