Just because they won't sell to you, doesn't mean there was a law against it. It's the same way with the movie industry - there is no law that says a minor can't see an R or NC-17 movie - the theater chains just adopted a rule, to keep parents happy.

It isn't illegal in the U.S. to sell M Rated games to minors.

You'd think that, if he was really a crusader (rather than the money grabbing ambulance chaser that he is), he'd go after the shops that sell games to under-age kids.

I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could find some sort of connection between video games and all the murders done within the last quarter century. Maybe Ted Bundy playing Pac-Man at the arcades once or twice in his life drove him to raping and murdering tons of women.
The fact is Correlation does not equal Causation. Just ignore this moron and he'll eventually go away.
