Dude, you are way too paranoid. This is just a game we are talking about. I would be suspicious if the U.S. government forced me to do something like that. But seriously dude .... Valve?!
As for the 3 gig footprint .... who cares? I got twin 80 gig S-ATA drives running in RAID-0, with about 115 gigs still to spare. I have not installed HalfLife 1 and it's add ons since I last upgraded my computer - I am waiting for the Source versions to play them all over again
Not being paranoid, asking a valid question. I wasn't aware that EUROs threw a big hissy about shelf space. I mean, come on, you don't mind that your country smells like piss most the time, so whats the big deal if you have 6 cds?
/edit, directed mostly at the French, but if you take offense, then it applies to you also. Oh, and those who live in the city of New York, New Jersey, and the like.
I have stated in the past. I have been aronud for some time with games and technology, I assume you always have the latest and greatest cause that is all your money goes to. Well some grownups can't have that luxury. I have been playing games for many years, consulted on technology for many years, and enjoy the pc gaming industry. BUT! I am also a RAM and HD space policeman. I like things clean and see no reason to keep crap on my HD that I don't use.
