WoW is ok - quests are actually tasks and not very good ones at that.
For the sake of conversation, how would you improve quests if you were the designer? I'm not being critical at all; I'm just curious to hear your ideas. I completely agree that the quests generally suck and that most are completely repetative fedex quests. I've thought about it casually, and haven't come up with anything worthwhile.
Blizzard will definitely push this out the door for the end of November. The game won't be ready yet, but there's no way they'll want to miss Xmas sales.
I think it's tough to say when any game, particularly an MMORPG, is "ready" (aside from squishing at least all major bugs). Some might argue the game is already ready. There are also some things that are more-or-less just perks, which are scheduled to be implemented after release (such as Hero classes). The main thing I'd like to see before the game is released is full and balanced talents. But other than that, I'm ready to pay money to play
NOW, as I'd expect are most people who have played the game.
