No way can this be final release code.
1: running anywhere feels futile. Evading is almost useless. Crawling as well. I find it odd watching players and they seem to be moving at a decent speed, even when they crawl. But that speed is not indicative when viewing the gameworld thru MY eyes. No jump... so ya can`t jump over small obstacles, ya gotta go around low ground debri?
walk/run/crouchwalk need bigtime addressing to get the FEEL right. At the moment it is like we are doing the Matrix bullet time thing.
2: when you crawl anywhere near the water, the game takes control and puts you into a crouch. Great for the XBox, horrible for a PC game to do this.
3: hit crouch and you crouch instantly in split second time. Again good for the XBox, but crazy unrealistic for the PC version.
4: mouse 2 rifle to shoulder view doesn`t pan smoothly. It jumps unrealisticly to a zoomed view. Yuck. Sniper rifle has no zoom enhancement=ya can`t adjust the zoom, and the rate of fire and no recoil makes it uber.
The list goes on. This all leads to me to think that no way can the demo be indicative of the final release. Everywhere I go players are saying the demo blows. There is just too much XBox control going on here, and no intuitive PC control such as we see in the MoH demo for example.
I love the visuals even tho stuff like decals is not in the demo, or even high rez textures. The sounds tho really quiet seem good too. If the player movment feel and control issues are polished properly and done from a realism feel angle... and the weap balancing done the same..... this could be an awesome mil combat experience.
