DOOM 3 Patch Server Bug?

A post on PlanetDOOM (thanks runnerCT) has word on a possible problem with the recent DOOM 3 version 1.1 patch (story) that might prevent the installation of the latest version of the dedicated server for the game. They suggest that administrators having trouble getting their DOOM 3 servers to appear on the master list verify that they have the new Doom3ded.exe dated 9/16 rather than the older version dated 9/02.

Any word yet on the Linux dedicated server binary? I've been waiting to put up a server for it, but it seems to be taking quite a while. I thought they said it was supposed to come out simultaneously with the Win32 patch.
