Only rednecks with 7 year old PCs give a shit about these games. Blows my mind people acctualy pay $20 for this useless shit.

Considering that the original sold 700,000 copies, I'd say a lot of people. Hate to say it, but the fact remains that the casual gamer drives the market... not the elitist hardcore gamer. Hell, Trophy Bass gave Dynamix enough dough to fund development of Tribes. It's a necessary evil. That and the cookie-cutter FPS genre.
