Mortyr 2 Demo & Movie

A Mortyr 2 demo is now available, a sample of the alternate-history World War II shooter sequel. The 111 MB demo is available along with a new gameplay trailer on the new Flash-y Mortyr 2 Website, and the demo, and in some cases the movie, are mirrored on 3D Gamers, Computer Games Online, FileFront, Gamer's Hell, and Worthplaying.

No evil/supernatural stuff in this one. Sadly.

I never played the first one because of all the universally horrible reviews, but I was tempted from the screenshots. I actually stole some of the architecture and design from some of those Mortyr 1 screenshots for a level I was making once, I liked them so much.

Too bad this one sounds awful too but I'm liable to download it and give it a try. I like this kind of game. Like RtCW I prefer my WWII games with lots of evil supernatural science fiction escapism. Can't stand the realistic war shooters, MoH, Battlefield Vietnam, et al.

Not too bad! Graphics are decent, gameplay reminds me of COD/MOH so far. The voiceovers are the absolute worst I have ever heard, and the music is bad too. Definately worth a try.

AKA 'The WWII FPS Demo To Get...If You Can't Get a Working Link for the CoD: UO Demo' demo.

I actually owned the original game on two separate occasions.

Investigating further, it seems the loading problem is related to the Anti-Aliasing option in the launch screen. Once I switched that off again, it works fine.

Although ... now that the game loads, I kinda wish it hadn't. It's really ... not very good, to say it diplomatically.

Well, I actually bothered to download it, but it ain't fun: I'm experiencing problems during level load. It took more than five minutes for the prograss bar to reach its end (!), and then nothing happened.

I stumbled upon some screenshots of it yesterday and it looked really bad...

Skipping this,

It's probably going to suck like the first. I met the creators and they don't seem very smart.
