Bethesda Softworks sends along word that the next game in the Elder Scrolls
series of RPGs is Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, confirming the rumored title
(
story). They say the first details on the project will be
unveiled in the October issue of
Game Informer magazine (they've posted
the cover on
The Elder
Scrolls Website in case you need a mug shot to identify it), on newsstands
September 23. Here's what they have to say about all this for now:
Bethesda Softworks LLC, a ZeniMax Media company, today announced that The
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion(tm) is currently in development for PC and future
generation consoles. In development since 2002, Oblivion is another leap forward
in role-playing with its combination of freeform gameplay and cutting-edge
