have dueling unofficial, but apparently straight from EA reports that The Sims 2 is
gold. The first report mentions a September 14 release date, while the latter
story predicts the game's release on September 17. Update:
The Sims 2 Website now
officially confirms this news, saying "the game has gone gold and is set to be
in stores by September 17th." In other Sims 2-related news,
EA Announces Mark Mothersbaugh as Lead Composer for The Sims 2 is the press
release announcing the former Devo member's participation in this project as
tunesmith.
I predict this game will sell nowhere near as many copies as the first one.
Reason??? Quite simply most office computers, wives laptops etc will not be able to play it. There's no bloody way I'm giving up my machine so my other half can play the sims on it!
