Long-awaited Doom 3
hits the UK is a BBC article announcing the availability of id's latest in
the U.K. (thanks Mike Martinez). The article discusses the game, as well as the
heightened level of sensitivity to violent games across the pond at the moment
based on the recent murder that some are attempting to connect with Manhunt
(story). In related news,
MCV
reports the possibility of shortages of the new release, quoting U.K. retailers
complaining that they don't have sufficient stock to meet demand, while quoting
Activision defending themselves by pointing out that retailers all over Europe
are being screwed by high demand, and that U.K. retailers are not being singled
out.
you sure about amazon being so great, gameplay got mine to me 1st thing thursday morning, day before release, for 26.99 including the postage 
if your not playing the game in a pitch black room on your own, with t5.1 sound or headphones, your REALLY missing out.
SP games got atmosphere in spades that way.
and yes, watch SNATCH for pikeys
playing d3 multiplayer atm and really nejoying it mostly, net code needs serious work and 4 player server max makes it damn hard to find somewhere that's not full :o/
just hoping id's new patch comming up doesn't bar the few net_ tweaks available that actually make it playable on a basic cable line.
want to know what doom3 multiplayer can be like? masses of potential :
