Warner Bros. Buys Monolith

Warner Bros. Buys Monolith is the press release announcing that television and film conglomerate Warner Bros., already a minority investor in Monolith Productions, has exercised an option to acquire the rest of the game developer. Monolith will now operate under Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment (WBIE), headed up by former Monolith CEO Jason Hall (story), who no reportedly no longer held any stake in the company he helped found.

You guys covered most everything.
I really liked the concepts Monolith has had during the years, there games often fell short of thier potenial.
Mostly it has been the limitations of thier engine mainly poor multiplayer, graphics, poor sdk and console commands thou resently (imo) it has been dumb gameplay decisions that have spoiled the potienal for greatness.
Blood, for its time was great, Blood 2 mostly suk'd.
Nolf was great, but idea you had to cheat to get to some areas to get spy info was lame as was that skipping sound everytime you jumped.
Nolf 2 great but suk'd cause of lame respawning.
Tron 2 was great but suk'd cause of the lame acting of the Jet charater and some dialogue.
Jack suk'd.

Well Monolith hasnt been doing well finacially was recently on the NolfGirl boards and read about how little money they had and wouldnt be doing a Nolf 3, which I read as why they were focusing on FEAR.

Its like they had 2 game development teams, one was very creative and funny, while the second team was just sadisticly dumb.

Actually it probably does mean there will be a Nolf 3, Tron 3 and Shogo 2 if FEAR does well, of course we wont see them for about 2 to 3 years, imo.

But I don't get a sense you're listening, so, fuck it, let's go to Hell !
