Pre NOLF...lithtech engines were completely competant and much more bang for your buck if you were liscensing an engine. They were a practical company and were good at being practical creatively as well. Monolith has always been an average developer and never strived to be anything more. I enjoyed the hell out of Shogo, being a huge fan of anime and the Mechwarrior series. The first Blood was a Doomer's answer to Duke Nukem 3d and was a good game IMO. You certainly can't tell me that Monolith belongs in the same bargain bin category as Eidos or many other similar companies.
"What is the point in living in a world with such gullible and easily pleased people?"
Perhaps it's not people being easily pleased as much as it is you being so cynical and jaded about a company that in actuality has gathered quite a following despite your OPINION.
