Impressions? Dark, immersive, scary, and fun! I also think you are exposed to more "story" in the first level of DOOM 3 than in all of id's previous games combined.
I just never would have imagined that in the future when interplanetary travel is common, we will have reverted to flashlights and pistols that each require both hands for proper operation. Go fig!
