Half-Life Hitbox Follow-up

A post to the Natural Selection Forums follows-up on the news of a hitbox bug that impacts Half-Life modifications (story). The follow-up post states:
A fix has been identified by Valve, and they will push the update via Steam when they can (obviously, the recent/current DDoS attacks against Steam have been making things very hectic for them).

Steam is a great idea in theory, however, like any internet facing app it's vulnerable to attack (such as DDos).

What people don't seem to realize is that Steam loads most updates really fast. I mean, I get 500mb/s and more getting HL/CS updates. Now, apparently you people don't remember when 1.4 and 1.5 came out. Every website that hosted it was taken down by the stress of the volume of traffic. It took days before everyone had the patches. People can bitch all they want, but Steam works. I'm sure the guy who made bittorrent who was hired has done a lot of making sure of that.

That said, i'd rather have a hardcopy, but i didn't want to have to wait 4-6 weeks after HL2 came out to have one mailed to me.
