Syndicate flat-out crashes XP for me. Instant reboot. Only old DOS games will do that on my system, which is why I keep another around. Other games, like X-COM, work if I slow the system and do some easy tweaks.
The only way someone can use 98 and not get the BSOD is to not turn it on. Even winamp would give me those. I was an IT professional, I have a degree in CS, I think I know how to use my PC. It's just a simple fact that 98 has massive memory management issues and would crash regularly unless you rebooted after using every memory-intensive program and before loading another.
