XP uses some form of copy-protection that prevents me from using the same CD on more than one computer on my network, doesn't it?
A very common misconception, one that even I had when XP was first launching. You can install your copy of XP as many times as you like, however possibly depending on the version, you can have it installed on multiple machines as well. All you have to do is call the Customer Service line (which is open 24/7) and tell them that you have changed hardware or building a new PC...whatever. I have an OEM WinXP which I have got running on 2 machines, and are networked with one another.
