In UO you actually need skill to fight other players.
Well, the Carebears obviously missed that point. I think the Carebears hate PvP because they think they can just stand their and do nothing but swing thier sword and when the get jacked up by a skilled player they cry foul and unfair. The Carebears need
to have totally controlled environments so nobody can take thier swords, bitmap/spite property to a Carebear is precious, they think they will never be able to buy another sword again. I can't count how many weapons or armor pieces I lost to pk's, but who cares, you just run back to the smith and buy more... wow!!! But you know what, I was never
bored going out on an adventure in UO (yeah the 'old' UO, pre-carebear take-over), the environemt was hostile and you never knew what ws going to happen, unlike EQ where you can run to the 'edge' of the zone and kill mindless AI for hours on end without much variation in play at all... oh what skill.
So the Carebears come to a game that was made from scratch to be PvP and with constant crying and bitching they turn it into a mindless EQ style 'pull' game, so now 99% of the MMO's are PvE and it's just never enough, fuck Carebears.
