can be very useful for games not sold on market(smaller games but fun)
Actually that is where ActiveMARK is at its worst because unlike the Trygames.com titles from large publishers like Valusoft and Atari, the small games on Trygames.com aren't also available at retail on CD-ROM so buyers are stuck with Trymedia's ActiveMARK crap if they want the game.
Its also good for old games that are hard to find in stores or not sold anymore.
This is also a "red herring." You don't need the crappy ActiveMARK copy-protection to sell older games. Trymedia should change its copy-protection system so that it is not tied to the PC's hardware, and it should stop ripping content from its games and still charging full price for them.
If game gets patched then trymedia patchs it.
NO, it doesn't! Dead Man's Hand, Singles, Terminator 3, and Deadly Dozen Pacific Theater (to name a few Trygames.com games) all have updates available for the CD-ROM versions whereas the ActiveMARK versions are still on previous versions with no sign of update and the official updates will not work on these ActiveMARK versions.
