D-Day Demo

A demo version of D-Day is now available, offering the chance to sample the real-time strategy gameplay in Digital Reality's upcoming World War II game. The 313 MB download includes a single-player mission and a multiplayer map, here's a description: "The single-player mode gives players the opportunity to experience the now-infamous Omaha Beach landing, with archived footage and detailed descriptions of the units involved lending a sense of realism to the proceedings. The multi-player mode offers a different map, specifically engineered to thrill up to four players at once." The demo can be downloaded from one of these mirrors: 3D Gamers, ActionTrip, Boomtown (registration required), Computer Games Online, Gamer's Hell, and Worthplaying.

This is like the second game I've seen in the last month with copy protection, the other being Chaos League MP demo, which I installed and then frantically uninstalled when it told me that it had installed some third party copyprotection rubbish.

Make noise about this to your local publishers. I don't know what sort of psycho would authorise the release of a demo with copy protection, but they need to be made aware that it isn't a good idea.
