Out of the Blue

Expert panel National disaster alert system in disarray... very comforting, especially in light of the evacuation instructions we received in the mail yesterday in case Indian Point makes like Three Mile Island on us... looking at the escape routes they outline and considering the crowds that will need to use them, I've determined that it would be faster to walk to escape the area... in fact, I think it would be faster to swim.

Dan, your living proof that the American education system needs a drastic overhaul. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Try to at least achieve functional literacy.

btw i'm not american so i don't see how i'm proof that the american education system needs a drastic overhaul. that was a pretty god damn stupid thing to say, but at least you're not breaking character

further, you won't catch me saying "your living proof" u fucking idiot. your living proof? god u r retarded, and considering how i'm only halfway literate that's pretty sad

and u also have 1 case of anthropomorphizing and a split god damn infinitive. that's 3 grammar mistakes over the 3 sentences u directed at me. holy shit you're stupid .. oh i'm sorry i meant to say "your stupid"

Man, chiquita is run by some crazy motherf***ers. That last line of the article just threw me for a loop. What kind of idiot think that any fruit is going to sell for more than it's currently selling for in a nation that's so carb conscious they refuse to eat the buns of its burgers?

And more importantly, who wants fruit that tastes like other fruit? If I wanted an apple, I'd eat an apple. I would not eat a banana that tastes a little like apple. If I wanted both at the same time, I would simply put both of them in my mouth at the same time, not pay several dollars extra for some white-coats to mix them together for me. I can forsee no situation in which this is a viable product.

Oh, and why were there random question marks in the article? I kept rereading the preceding words as questions once I stumbled upon one and it didn't make any freakin sense.. Maybe it has something to do with Opera (I blame IE's lack of standardization and all around stupidness, though).
I eat pasta!

Propaganda? Put up or shut up. You whine like an old lady. The fact that you agree with an idiot like Dan only further proves that you're incapable of putting up, merely pissing and moaning at someone who can. So in that case, shut up and go away.

P.S. Dan, your living proof that the American education system needs a drastic overhaul. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Try to at least achieve functional literacy.

The only thing you've proven is that you are an insufferable boor. These message boards used to be fun before they became a platform for your propaganda.

Also, Dan is right on the money.

Dantastic can you make 1 post without flaiming Halsey or calling him names?

I would be satisfied if he could make 1 post and use the word “you” instead of “u”.

Though, I would also be satisfied if for one day everybody could spell/type Halsy’s name right!

u missed the point, jackass. his point was that u operate on an atmosphere of fear also just like the people u are railing against.

u are always saying that we should be afraid of the administration and we should be educated BUT when they use fear tactics u have a problem with it. u are very one sided and i used to look up to u but i don't think i can anymore halsey

Threads was a great film. It scared the bejesus out of me when they aired it.

Speaking of flicks...I just saw Spidey 2 today. Pretty good. Tobey McGuire always looks like he's stoned though - but he is perfect for the role. The girl with the violin was pretty funny, but the elevator scene had me laughing my ass off. That scene was pure hilarity.

Isn't that your modus operandi as well? Seems to be based on the questionable links you post here.

Questionable? Questioning is good. Simply calling them questionable because you dislike what they prove doesn't make them questionable. Think you can disprove them? Be my guest. But otherwise, put up or shut up.
