The Adventure Company announces that Aura: Fate of the Ages has shipped in North America:
Toronto, June 24, 2004. The Adventure Company* today announced that it has shipped "Aura: Fate of the Ages" for Windows(R).

"Aura's" magical story begins with an ancient legend that tells of the existence of powerful and sacred rings and hidden artifacts that, when combined, offer great power and immortality to those that possess them.

Players will take an incredible voyage in search of these rings and artifacts, opening astonishing new worlds throughout the quest. A variety of ingenious fully-animated puzzles using logic, reasoning and common sense must be solved before the game reaches it fully-realized conclusion.

"Aura" is a challenging first person puzzle exploration game with an easy to navigate mouse driven, point and click interface. The game features vast panoramic landscapes and paramount pre-rendered graphics. Players will need to solve a variety of ingenious fully-animated puzzles using logic, reasoning and common sense.

"Aura: Fate of the Ages" is developed by Streko-Graphics Inc. and is rated 'E' for Everyone. This title will ship in Europe later this summer.

Well, Syberia 2 seemed a decent sequel (original was better, though...) and The Longest Journey 2 will be out next year. Otherwise, Dreamcatcher does push out a new adventure game once a month or once every other month. They can be a bit hit or miss, but you cannot beat the $20 price.

Willing to settle for a new King's Quest as well :),
Ray

Edit" ...every *other* month...

At least someone's still putting out titles in this genre. With LA dropping the next two potentially great adventure games (FA2 and S&M2), even junk adventure titles will have to keep the fort until something comes along that proves they can still move units.

Yeah, Ray. I'm frustrated to the point of just using AGS or something to make my own god damned SQ sequel. I can only do art though, so I just need a coder. Uh, and a musician. Nevermind, then. Fucking bottom line and retail demographics, give me my mop back. You fucking bastards.

It's something of a passionate topic for me, you might say.

...tech, but really rough gameplay.

If anybody is dying for an adventure game, Path of the Shell is only off a few weeks and Revelation is due in two months.

Wanting a new Space Quest, damn it!

So you should never respond to him by name, because that's all he wants - someone to notice him.

Which would make you his PR guy or something. Sheesh.

OFFICIAL BOSCO WARNING: Please pay no attention to anything the person posting under the name of "Bosco" says. He is one of those total losers who gets off on the attention he recieves by acting like an asshole. So you should never respond to him by name, because that's all he wants - someone to notice him. Pathetic but true. He's just a lonely, miserable little kid with his dick in his hand, looking for attention, ANY attention.
Don't give it to him. Don't respond to anything he says directly. Talk about him in the third person if you must, but don't go beyond that.

(Please feel free to cut and paste this message whenever you see the person going by the name of "Bosco" posting.)

What is worst: yet again a new Myst clone or yet again a new WWII based FPS?
At least in the first case there's only one of these games every few months. I think I have seen a new WWII FPS (or asimilated) every freaking week for the last 12 months...

DreamCatcher needs to put out more games like Painkiller, and stop beating a dead horse.
