I was really interested in this game for the graphics, but man that demo is probably the worst game I've ever played, and the graphics aren't even that great.

The level design is atrocious. I've seen levels made for novice level design tutorials that are less bland. I thought the days of having a huge cube room with some random "decortating" objects thrown around ended with Wolfenstien 3D - apparently the developers didn't get that memo more than a decade ago. I guess Russian gamers aren't big on things like continuity, consistency of design, logical layout, or being interested. Doom 1 had more interesting architecture than this crap.

The graphics? It seems like the technology is there, but you'd never know because the level design and models are so poor. A bit of normal mapping and some shadows can't compenstate for some of the worst models and textures I've ever seen. Unreal 1 looked better than this 8 years ago.

Text to speech voices; WTF is up with that? Even the worst voice actors in the world are better than the bargin bin voice software they used.

Gah! I'm just so digusted that I wasted time downloading that thing.

dear god i thought this might of been another typical bluesnews have a cry about everything thread but fuck me that is a terrible game and i agree indefinatly.

has to be one of the worst cut scenes ive ever seen(comon anachronox made ships fly better than that 5 years ago get a clue russia)
didn't even bother finishing the first level mind you but god damn.. that is pretty bad, wasn't even slightly entertained.. seemed like halo but even shitter and damn halo was bad enough without mother russia making a version.

He's one of those total losers who gets off on the attention he recieves by acting like an asshole...You should never respond to him by name, because that's all he wants: someone to notice him. Pathetic but true. It's especially pathetic how he is using the royal "we" as if anyone else on this board would ever side with him. Don't give it to him. Don't respond to him directly. Talk about him in the third person if you must, but don't go beyond that. I wish there was some quick way we could flag this asshole so no one would make the mistake of talking to him - make his name show up in red or something? That way if he ever gives up using the "Bosco" name and shows up again with a different name, we could just flag him again and go back to ignoring his pathetic, loser ass.

This game is a waste of space. I cant remember the last time I played a game this stupid. Oh wait Unreal 2 , guess i was wrong. Too bad this game doesnt have the brand name to go with it so it wont rip as many people off.

I disagree. I'm 25 (most people who post here are what, 15) and I'd call Tetris my all time favorite game across any system. I can't even imagine the total time I've logged playing that game...and you can get it on any system imaginable.

I think the original NES version (the black cartridge) played the best though. Somehow playing Tetris on my XBox just seems odd...could be me I guess.

It reminds me a lot of that 168 K demo that contained a whole FPS with per-pixel lighting. Only 10,000 times as large, with worse graphics and less entertainment value.

I just say list a couple of games that came out of Eastern Europe - Operation Flashpoint, Hidden & Dangerous 1 & 2, Mafia

Any area responsible for Silent Storm is ok in my book.



Truthfully the Eastern Europeans seem to have the only people interested in trying something new these days. They've pumped out some awful titles, but they've pumped out some jewels.

After all the build up - I can't get it to run.
Am I right in thinking theres no installer? So you just run the exe that's in amongst all the game files?

When I do that I get 'Fatal Error: can't load text resources'

All my drivers are up to date. Any ideas?? Or should I throw in the towel?

yeah.. right.. like Serious Sam for example sucked so bad and had such a horrible looking engine, or Stalker looks really to be the top sucker of all times.
but of course every game from a western country is just great, no matter what.

I'm not a follower, perhaps they are no more, but they certainly did have that tag for a while. Or perhaps they still are, and you hate it!

This game is so typical Eastern europe. Eveything those "people" make sucks. they should still all be communist, they don't deserve freedom. Also the voice acting is so bad i think 3 waterheads and a downsyndrome baby could do better.
