Happy Birthday Quake! As noted on ROME.RO, the grand old game turns eight today. Wow, where does the time go!

I've had a couple of readers write in describing problems they've had reaching the site. Hump points out that these stories sound familiar to him, as he had a similar problem recently. He recommends HijackThis as the utility that helped solve the problem for him, so I thought I'd pass that tip along, though a caveat applies, as the site itself describes the dangers of the method they use: "As a result, false positives are imminent and unless you are sure what you're doing, you should always consult with knowledgeable folks (e.g. the forums) before deleting anything." Of course, the other problem with this tip is offering it on this site specifically to help people having trouble reaching this site, but hey, what are you going to do? At least I tried...
