Well, I e-mailed the reviewer yesterday about those 2 things I noticed but he only changed the bit about the add-on pack. Good job

Hard to get a less accurate review than that one for trackmania. If the author had done any research,

here are three different sets of levels, with eight or so puzzles and races for each.

He would have found that beyond A, B and C in puzzles and races, the series go up to something like F (or is it H?), opened up only if you complete the series with adequate rankings in all of the races.

The camera has various levels of zoom, 4 directions and also a degree of freedom in the elevation angle.

The game is sadly missing loops, twists, and more “extreme” pieces, but you can still build some wild courses with the tools at hand.

Loops, in the desert tracks, twists in the snow tracks.

I really dont think this author tried out this game enough, and almost undoubtedly didn't try playing it online.

Eric Brosius did the sound for the game. He also did the sound for the 2 other Thief games and System Shock 2 as well. Brother of the writer for the Thief series (who incidentally is Terri Brosius, voice of Shodan and Viktoria).

I'm loving Thief -- it's got its hooks in me deep! DEEP, I say!!

.. except that I've just made it into one of the most ridiculously creepy and atmospheric levels that I've ever played in a game and had to turn that shit off, as it was scaring the bejeebers out of me!! LMAO! Not quite sure how to proceed now..

The dude who did the sound in that game is a freakin' genius.

I'm not even angry. I'm being so sincere right now, even though you broke my heart and killed me.

Penny Arcade (http://www.penny-arcade.com) has a review of Thief: Deadly Shadows up today. Also they point to a fan-made program that fixes the difficulty-setting bug that pretty much ruins the game for those wanting a challenge. That means I can finally start playing it again.

http://www.team5150.com/~andrew/project.thiefbot/

What it does is updates the memory locations of the game's difficulty settings periodically, just like a typical trainer would do. Pretty cool.

Why does this reviewer believe that Ion Storm ("Ion Storm has vamped up the intelligence of the AI") had anything at all to do with H:C ? Io interactive - Ion Storm even though both studios games are published by Eidos and the first two letters in thier names are the same its strange when a reviewer accredits one company's game to another :/

Although I may be too drunk to have read this properly so appologies where due

Rally does not have twists and loops.

There are fan-made downloadable car skins and also team skin packs (with all the car skins of teams that have registered for the leagues). There's also downloadable environment mods like cartoon etc..

I just ordered this from the UK yesterday, hoping it'll be here (the US) quicker than the 28th (the US ship date)...

I played the demo for a hour and was seriously hooked! This game should come with a warning label!

People look so snooty, Take pills make them moody, Automatic bzooty, Zero to tutti fruitti, Sex in the halls, Niagra Falls, Local shopping malls receive Anonymous calls

Are there twists and loops on the Rally theme?
I'd like it if you could use all of the themes and cars in one race. And they need to have an easy way to change the textures on the tracks(like the cars, you can download and select new themes).

Few odd bits about the review...

1.
The game is sadly missing loops, twists, and more “extreme” pieces...

There are loops, twists etc.. even the screenshots on the review show that. Loops are showing in the cover picture

2.
Maybe with any luck they will offer a downloadable expansion pack for a small price.

Hmmm... judging by the box pic, he reviewed the original TM and does not know about the free Power Up! add-on pack? But then again there are pics that show the add-on blocks, weird...

The Power Up! version is published in USA by Enlight, btw.
