I don't have as much of a problem with that quote as I do the line below it:

Mary Spio, 31, who served in the U.S. Air Force during the first Gulf War, thinks video games can create a bloodlust. "What we saw in the Abu Ghraib prison scandal was the tip of the iceberg — it was a glimpse of a generation of war gamers coming of age," says Spio, now the pop culture editor for One2One Magazine.

WTF is he talking about? Those people were fucking idiots for what they did, I don't think gaming had anything to do with their actions. There are always going to be people on this planet with no morals or dignity, gaming rarely (if ever) sways people from one end of the spectrum to the other.
